Responsibilities

  • Performing operations on the drill floor
  • Directing other staff involved in the drilling operations
  • Organizing drilling tools and connecting drill pipe sections
  • Assisting in the mixing of drilling fluids
  • Maintaining a record of equipment in a log on a daily basis
  • Driving truck to well site or well service

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • At least one year of experience of manual labor in oil and gas is required
  • Two to four months of formal on-the-job training as an oil and gas well driller is required
  • Pipeline Constructions Safety Training (PCST) is required

EDUCATION:  

  • Must have completed secondary education
  • High school diploma in drilling
  • H2S Alive Certification
  • Standard First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Common Safety Orientation or (EGSO/PST/GELS)
  • Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) Certification
  • Global Ground Disturbance Level 2
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training Certificate (BOSIET)

Pay Range

$32.28 – $54.50 per hour
