Responsibilities
- Directing, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of workers who drill for oil and gas, operating service rigs
- Establishing tactics and procedures for work schedules
- Setting up and taking down of rigs
- Giving measures to enhance productivity and safety
- Handling personnel actions like hirings and promotions
EDUCATION:
- Must have completed secondary education
- A two-year high school diploma in petroleum engineering technology
- Petroleum industry approved training courses
- Common Safety Orientation or (EGSO/PST/GELS)
- Workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS)
- Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) Certification
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- At least one year of experience in oil and gas is required
- One year of experience in Petroleum & Natural Gas Extraction Occupations is preferred
Pay Range
$45 – $66 per hour
Core Competencies Required
Leadership skills, High sense of responsibility, Phenomenal practical skills, Good communication and listening skills, Able to fully analyze situations and plan accordingly
